AASA Conference Branding

Client: AASA

Show: National Conference on Education

Agency: CSG Creative

While at CSG, I developed the visual identity for the AASA Conference, aligning it with the event’s theme: "Social Emotional Learning: Focusing on the Total Child." My goal was to create a design system that visually represented the holistic nature of social-emotional learning (SEL)—how a child’s success is shaped by multiple interconnected factors, from academic support to emotional well-being and community involvement.

At the core of the identity was a geometric pattern, a design choice that symbolized the idea of “one whole made of many components.” Just as SEL integrates various elements—emotional intelligence, relationships, and academic growth—into a unified approach to education, the pattern reflected how individual pieces come together to form a strong foundation for a child’s well-being. This visual metaphor reinforced the conference’s key message: supporting the whole child requires an interconnected, multifaceted approach.

ISA Conference Branding

While at CSG, I developed the visual identity for Sign Expo, ensuring the conference’s branding was as bold and dynamic as the signage industry itself. My approach focused on creating a vibrant, eye-catching design system that would not only attract attention but also celebrate the creativity and innovation that define the field.

To achieve this, I incorporated bright, high-energy colors that reflected the excitement and impact of large-scale signage and visual communications. Additionally, I developed a series of custom illustrations, adding a unique and personal touch to the event’s branding.

Project: Brand Refresh

At Fors Marsh, I helped refresh the National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR) brand to better reflect its mission. As part of the NIH, NINR supports research that improves health by looking at the bigger picture—how factors like social support, environment, and access to care shape well-being.

The new visual identity focuses on connection and impact. A pattern of interwoven lines and icons represents how nurses link science, care, and real-world health challenges. The updated look reinforces NINR’s role in driving research that helps people live longer, healthier lives.

The objective was to increase usability and understanding of the Emergency app information by accurately depicting the hazards and protective actions in a concise and efficient way.

Protect the Nation Campaign

Project: Protecting the Nation (PTN) Campaign

While at Fors Marsh, I conceptualized and contributed to the development and execution of the visual identity for the PTN digital campaign, designed to address frequently asked questions about COVID-19 vaccines. The campaign aimed to provide clear, trustworthy information through engaging, easy-to-digest visuals.

To support this effort, I designed a variety of static, carousel, and animated graphics, ensuring the content was visually compelling, and optimized for digital engagement. By balancing informative design with approachable visuals, the campaign helped foster public understanding and confidence in COVID vaccines.

Sickle Cell Awareness Month

At Fors Marsh, I designed both static and animated social media assets for the Sickle Cell Awareness Month campaign, themed “Get to Know Sickle Cell.” This campaign took a personal and factual approach to highlight the realities of living with sickle cell disease, while also emphasizing the importance of clinical trials and the vital role that trial participants play in advancing research and improving care for those with SCD.

I designed a PowerPoint presentation in the Fors Marsh brand for a White House event focused on promoting recovery-friendly workplaces. The presentation highlighted key findings from a national survey on what employers need to better support individuals in recovery. It was shared with an audience of senior officials, business leaders, and state representatives as part of National Recovery Month, helping to clearly communicate important data and encourage supportive workplace policies.
